THEY’RE divided by generations…but there was still a party atmosphere when Sheffield’s WiggleTots met Sheffcare residents.
Sheffcare is the not for profit organisation that operates a chain of ten residential care homes across Sheffield.
WiggleTots is the award-winning city toddler dance classes for children under five.
The children's dance classes are about having lots of fun, learning new skills and increasing confidence.
And in an exciting new experiment designed to bring generations together, the WiggleTots have been visiting Sheffcare’s Paddock Hill home in Gleadless, where everybody is encouraged to join in and get active.
“We have been delighted with the response of our residents to these lovely young visitors,” said Paddock Hill manager Louise Crocker.
“It’s a four week programme and every time we have found more of our residents wanting to join in and spend time with the children - they absolutely love it!
“It’s a two way thing too as it gets very small children used to the idea of being around older people.”
The WiggleTots scheme is now expected to extend to other homes in the Sheffcare group.
